Socioeconomic status (SES) and health: socioeconomic inequality in health with a particular interest in education and health.

Religion and health: dark side of religiousness; implications of religious participation on mental health, physical health, and mortality.

Social epidemiology: important roles of environmental and social factors in population health with a particular focus on the health of Asian Americans.
